The trailer with the Bounty Hunters in action

The time is approaching when fans will be able to relive the most feared 'Bounty Hunters' in the entire galaxy. Because of this, the first teaser of the live-action adaptation of the classic anime “Cowboy Bebop” was revealed by Netflix on Tuesday morning (19) and, according to the platform, the full trailer for the series will be released in a week, to be more exact, next Tuesday (26). Just like the original cartoon, the new production takes place in the year 2071, and tells the story of a group of bounty hunters led by the protagonist, Spike Spiegel.

Inspired by an award-winning and critically acclaimed anime produced in 1998, “Cowboy Bebop” has a cluster of references, mixing westerns, classic kung fu films, space opera, film noir, among many others. In the preview, we can see Spike (John Cho) encountering problems at work. Alongside Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda), the three form a lethal trio that travels the galaxy in search of the most dangerous criminals in the entire universe. In addition to chronicling the trio's adventures, the project explores philosophical concepts, including existentialism and loneliness. Developed by Christopher Yost, the streaming giant also hired Shinichiro Watanabe, director of the 1998 anime, to be a consultant for the new live-action, in order to avoid the risk of irritating fans of the original anime version, as well as thinking about winning them over. Scheduled for release on November 19, the first season has ten episodes and features Elena Satine, Lucy Currey, Molly Moriarty, Alex Hassell, Alvin Maharaj and Arlo Green in the cast.
