The saga of José Inocêncio

Renascer tells the life of José Inocêncio, an influential farmer in the cocoa region of Ilhéus, Bahia. His eternal passion is Maria Santa, with whom he has four children: José Augusto, José Bento, José Venâncio and João Pedro. However, Maria Santa's death during João Pedro's birth leaves a shadow over the relationship between father and youngest son.

What will happen in Fuzuê

The grudge between them intensifies over time, especially when Inocêncio falls in love with Mariana, João Pedro's girlfriend. This love triangle becomes one of the central points of the plot.

Furthermore, Inocêncio faces two powerful adversaries on his journey. The first is Belarmino, Mariana's grandfather, who was mysteriously murdered. The second is Teodoro, his neighbor, with whom he disputes land in the region. These conflicts add more elements of tension to the story.
