Dude, have you ever tried to mix two things together, hoping to get something cool, but in the end, it just went wrong? Well, that's the vibe of The Last Alchemist.

You know when you take something simple like combining things and it turns into a mental puzzle that leaves you feeling crazy? Well, that's it. This game is the kind of thing that mixes alchemy, cute mushrooms, and a story that seems to have come out of a crazy dream.

Come in the little shoe because the life of an alchemist is not easy

Oh, I'll tell you that I've always been into humanities, you know? Math and science, for me, have always been synonymous with nightmares. But, can you believe that I spent hours on Skyrim forging metal and tinkering with alchemy? If you ask me how I got through school, I'll say it was with the help of games, because real life, my friend, was just a struggle. Here comes The Last Alchemist with this footprint of My Time at Sandrockbut throwing a responsibility on you. I, who thought it was going to be an easy scheme with automatic recipes and an alchemical GPS, came face to face with reality: here, you're going to have to think and work hard.

Honestly, you start the game as a terminally ill old alchemist, the kind you think can't handle anything anymore. But the old man still has fuel left to burn, bro. After blowing up the master's workshop (because yes, we are the kind of people who set things on fire), the alchemist has to start over from scratch. And that's when things get tough.

No beatings, but a lot of mental trouble

There's no fighting here, mate. The trick is to solve problems using intelligence and alchemy. You'll spend all your time collecting resources, creating solutions to break down barriers, and exploring the world around the observatory. All this while taking care of your old body that can't handle running around without taking a nap. That's right, you're going to have to rest, and if you don't, you'll wake up the next day looking like you've been beaten up.

And speaking of mushrooms, Agari are the cutest part of this whole mess. At first, they think you want to eat everyone, but then, even the most arrogant mushrooms start helping you in your mission. And man, some of the Agari are as inventive as the alchemist himself. Friendship is real in this crazy world of fungi and alchemy.

Are you ready to rack your brains? Then pay attention…

Alchemy here is like solving a puzzle that makes you angry before you can finish it. You'll spend hours mixing essences, searching for ingredients, and trying not to blow up the lab. Each achievement is a worthwhile victory, and each defeat is a lesson in humility. In the end, you'll come out of it thinking you're the Mr. White of alchemy, but without the cartels on your tail, you know?

Storage, where are you hiding, mate?

If there's one problem with this game, it's the storage. Man, how can a crazy alchemist like this not have space to store his stuff? The workshop becomes a mess of sticks and mushrooms, all thrown on the floor. And as if that weren't enough, the game only saves at the end of the day, forcing you to plan every move. It's an old system, but it makes sense, considering the old man's terminal state.

Pros:

  • It makes you feel like a true alchemist, experimenting and discovering new things.
  • Encourages exploration and critical thinking, like a Sherlock Holmes of mushrooms
  • The characters, especially the Agarithey are very charismatic

Cons:

  • The lack of a minimap or compass is a pain, it makes you waste time finding things.
  • End of day save system can be annoying
  • Full workshop and no space to store ingredients

Final Grade: 6/10

The Last Alchemist It's not just a game about collecting and mixing things. It has a depth, a philosophical twist that will make you think about life while you try to save the world. Even with the frustrations and limitations, there's something rewarding in each small achievement. And at the end of the day, you throw yourself on the bed in the observatory and reflect on everything that happened. The mushrooms may still be afraid of you, but you're trying hard, bro. And that's what matters.
