Elza Soares rocks and wins award for Best Pop/Rock Artist

Elza Soares was one of the artists awarded during the 30th edition of the Brazilian Music Award, which took place on Wednesday night (31), at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro.

The woman at the end of the world was the winner of the Best Pop/Rock Artist. During the posthumous award ceremony, Elza was represented by her granddaughter and her manager, Vanessa Soares and Pedro Loureiro, respectively.

The event was presented by Lázaro Ramos, who was visibly moved when Elza's name was announced. “It had to be! Queen very alive! Long live Elza Soares!”, he said. In addition to winning the category of Best Pop/Rock ArtistElza also nominated as Best Pop/Rock Releasewith the visual album “Elza Live at Municipal”.

In her latest work, Elza Soares released several Pop/Rock hits, such as: “Credo”, “Exu Nas Escolas”, “Deus Ha De Ser”, “No Tá Mais de Graça” It is “Maria Da Vila Matilde”. Released in May 2022, the DVD “Elza Live At Municipal” it was recorded two days before the singer's death, in January of the same year. In the project, the voice of the millennium sang hits from his career such as: “Mulher Do Fim Do Mundo”, “Malandro”, “Banho”, “Meu Guri”, “A Carne” It is “Tough in the Fall”.

In the Times of Intolerance

“In the Time of Intolerance” is the name of Elza Soares' new unreleased album, which will be released on June 23rd. “In the Time of Intolerance” has one of Rita Lee's last compositions and, interestingly, one of the last songs recorded by Elza for the new musical work, titled “African Queen”.
