“Amsterdam” gets new poster with Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington

David O.Russell's new film, “Amsterdam”, has just received a new promotional poster, released by 20th Century Studios. In it, we can see the plot's leading trio highlighted, formed by Margot Robbie, John David Washington and Christian Bale.

Let the love, murder and conspiracy begin.

Before the release of the film's trailer a month ago, much of its production was being done in secrecy, with little information brought to the public, but as its release date approaches, more and more information is emerging.

The film portrays a trio of friends, a doctor, a lawyer and a nurse, who travel to the city of the film's title and become involved in a plot, under suspicion of being accomplices in a murder, in the 1930s. The three, while trying to prove their innocence, become involved in something they never imagined.

In addition to the appearances of Margot Robbie, John David Washington and Christian Bale, “Amsterdam” features other big names in cinema, such as Rami Malek, Zoe Saldaña, the legendary Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola and Taylor Swift .

In addition to the actors, Matthew Budman, Anthony Katagas and Arnon Milchan serve as producers of the film. Tracey Landon and Doug Torres will be the co-producers.

The film had been in development since January 2020, with filming scheduled to begin in April of the same year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the world, causing a general pause, not only in the film industry, but in all sectors. As a result, production was postponed.

At first, Michael B. Jordan was also in the star cast of the plot. However, he was removed due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by John David Washington.

“Amsterdam” arrives in Brazil on October 6, 2022.
