Netflix reveals mysterious trailer for the new production

The streaming platform, Netflix, released this Thursday (25), a mysterious trailer for filmmaker Noah Baumbach's new thriller film, titled “White Noise”. This is another Baumbach project with the global film provider. The first partnership was in “The Meyerowitzes: Family Doesn't Choose” in 2017, followed by the feature film “Marriage Story” in 2019, the latter of which received 6 nominations at the 2020 Oscars, including Best Film, Actress, Actor and Original Screenplay. Noah is responsible for directing the film, and also wrote the script, which is based on the book by Don DeLillo.

The adaptation of the satirical novel will tell the story of Jack, a character played by Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), a professor of studies on the dictator Hitler, who teaches at a liberal arts college in the Midwest of the United States. United States, living with his fourth wife, Babette played by actress, Greta Gerwig (director of Little Women). Together, they will have to face life-threatening danger, when a toxic event ends up unleashing a dark and lethal chemical cloud into the air.

White Noise follows the drama of an ordinary North American family trying to deal with “the universal mysteries of love, death and the possibility of being happy in an uncertain world”.

The trailer is mysterious and intriguing, at the same time scary and hilarious and shows Adam with a very different look.

It is worth noting that the film will open the Venice Film Festival next week, but there is still no forecast as to when it will be released. What is known is that it is “coming soon”, which could indicate its release before the end of 2022 or early 2023.

The cast includes: Jodie Turner-Smith, Don Cheadle, Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola, May Nivola, André L. Benjamin and Lars Edinger, completing the team with Driver and Gerwig.

In addition to Baumbach, David Heyman and Uri Singer work together on the Netflix production.
