“Orphan 2: The Origin” gets official trailer released by Paramount Pictures

It was released by Paramount Pictures this Wednesday (13) the official trailer for “The Orphan 2 – The Origin”. The feature film will once again star actress Isabelle Fuhrman, who played the character Esther in 2009 in “The orphan”, when she was just 12 years old. Today, at 25, Isabelle debuts in a prequel to the original after more than a decade of waiting.

“Orphan 2: The Origin” was directed by Willian Brent Bell, also director of the horror film “Evil doll” and features David Coggeshall on the script. The cast also includes Hiro Kanagawa, star of Star Trek.

In Brazil, the film will hit theaters on September 15th of this year. In the United States, it will premiere on August 19th. In the film, Leena Klammer pretends to be Esther, the missing daughter of a couple: Katie Mauerova, played by Julia Stiles; and Richard Mauerova, played by Rossif Sutherland. Katie suspects the girl's identity, only to discover that Leena is an adult woman who has a condition called hypopituitarism and is here to destroy her family.

Isabelle Fuhrman revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that no special effects were used to make her look 9 years old again. In fact, all that was needed was makeup and camera tricks to make the actress look younger and smaller than her co-stars. In the interview, she said she was disturbed by the results of the images.

During the 13-year hiatus, the young woman starred in hits such as the “Hunger Games“ and participated in horror films such as “Escape Room” It is “The Last Thing Mary Saw” – where he was the protagonist.

In the original film, little Esther haunts the Coleman family, who after the loss of their third child, decide to adopt an older child and find themselves stuck with Leena, who acts innocent and charming pretending to be a child, a discovery that Kate (Vera Farmiga), John (Peter Sarsgaard) and the audience only come to make in the final moments.
