André Ramalho is announced as a new signing for Corinthians

André Ramalho was announced this Tuesday (16), as the new reinforcement of Timão. The defender's contract will be for two and a half years, valid until the end of 2026, and arrives to compete for position with Cacá, Félix Torres, Gustavo Henrique, Caetano and João Pedro.

“It is a great pleasure to be wearing this shirt. I am really looking forward to playing at the (Neo Química) Arena. I am counting on everyone’s support,” said the defender.

New reinforcement

Ramalho was with PSV in the Netherlands until the end of the last European season and was currently available on the market. The player attracted the interest of Vasco, but it was with Corinthians that the deal was finalized. He had already been working at Timão even before the announcement to adapt to the new club and regain his physical fitness after the vacation period.

The defender has already been registered in the Daily Information Bulletin (BID) and should make his debut next Sunday, 21st, against Bahia.

Career abroad

The athlete has played for the youth teams of São Paulo, Palmeiras and RB Brasil, but it was abroad where he built his career. He played for Red Bull Salzburg, where he spent five years, one of which was on loan, and became an idol in 2018, winning six championships and five Austrian cups with the club.

Still in Austria, André Ramalho played for Usk Anife and Liefering and had a spell in Germany, when he was loaned to Mainz.

In 2021, the defender was signed by PSV, where he established himself as one of the team's leaders and won a Dutch championship and two Dutch cups. The player remained at the club until last June.
