O Atlético-MG managed to draw with Atlético-GO at the Brazilian Championship 2024. In a duel valid for the 13th round, played at Arena MRV, the teams ended up equal at 1-1, which placed Galo provisionally in 9th position; the Dragão was in 17th place, within the Z4.
Both goals were scored in the first half. The visitor gave the black and whites a scare with a great lob goal, scored by Luiz Fernandoat 12 minutes. However, shortly after, Paulinho saved the home team once again, beating the ball just outside Ronaldo.
Now, the teams have different challenges in the rest of the season. Atlético-MG will host Flamengo in the next round, in a game scheduled for Wednesday, 3. Atlético-GO, on the same date, will visit Red Bull Bragantino in Nabizão.
