Rebeca Andrade's eyeliner draws attention

Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade, 25, won gold on the floor exercise at the 2024 Olympic Games, which is being held in Paris, on Monday (5). She left American Simone Biles with the silver medal. In addition to her performance and personality, the athlete also drew attention for her graphic outlines.

The eyeliner that went to the podium

The makeup chosen by Rebeca stands out in her performances. Makeup artist Janaína Marques, who has worked with the gymnast at several events, said in an interview with the Terra portal that Rebeca is the one who chooses the designs on her eyes and does them: “She really likes eyeliner and she does it herself for the competitions. The makeup and what the gymnasts do with their hair also help them feel more empowered, more capable.”said the professional.

To climb to the top of the podium, the Brazilian wore a graphic eyeliner full of black and blue lines, matching her leotard. Starting with the open, leaf-shaped eyeliner in black, she used blue with glitter, following the same design and finishing with a black line near the end of the eyebrow.

Other creations by the gymnast

Rebeca usually combines the classic black eyeliner with some color and shine, matching it with her leotard or some other piece she wears in competition. At this year's Olympic Games, she opted for yellow eyeshadow for the individual all-around final where she won silver, a double black graphic eyeliner for the team final where she won bronze, and two colors, green and yellow, in the qualifying rounds.
