Pucci launches new collection at electrifying show in Florence

Camile Micelli presented her first collection for Pucci in April 2022 and now, a year after her debut, the French designer has returned to the origins of the Italian brand, presenting a new show in Florencewhere the brand was founded in 1947 by Emilio Pucci, the show took place in the renowned clubhouse of the rowing club, Societá dei Canottieri Firenze.

In addition to the enthusiastic venue, the decor for the event was also impressive, Micelli opted for wicker chairs and colorful umbrellas with vibrant prints from the Pucciwhich adorned perfectly with the sun setting in front of the Ponte Vecchio and the pink sky shining under the Arno river. American rappers Ice Spice and Saint Jhn, actress Emma Myers and fashion designers Ebony and Jenna Tyson were some of the 300 guests who attended the collection launch.

For the collection, Micelli updated and reinterpreted some classic prints from the Puccilike some long dresses that reproduced the edges of some of the scarves Pucci and some carefree looks in cotton, jersey and silk that combine with the brand’s most famous prints, such as: the 1968 Marmo print and the 1970 Iride Fiamme prints, the 1966 Girandole and the fishpresented in new colors.

The beach-oriented collection comprises more than 40 brightly colored looks, including swimsuits, caftans and lightweight silk dresses, with psychedelic-style jumpsuits that hugged the body like a diver’s jumpsuit. In addition to the looks, they also had beach-oriented accessories decorated with Pucci prints, such as cloche hats and maxi beach bags.

The collection is available for purchase from the 5th of this month and is called “Initials EP“.
