PS5 Launches Invitations Via Link for Multiplayer: The Technology
– All in one GAME updates, New game release, 2024 games, upcoming games, trending games, latest discovery and game reviews.
If you, like me, enjoy spending your afternoons sofa glory common DualSense In my hands, I have something new that will make you drop the controller with excitement — or not. Sony decided to join the modern wave and will now let PS5 people invite friends (or not so friends) for gaming sessions via shareable link. That's right, friends, now just send one link via Zap and voilà, everyone is ready to lose — I mean, play together!
How Does This Wonder Work?
Simple! The next console update will allow you to create a magical link directly from your PS5 or the PlayStation app and send it to any mortal who owns the device and the game. By clicking the link, the recipient can jump straight into your multiplayer session. This is as easy as making that impulse purchase in the morning, except without the subsequent guilt.
And you know what is better? You don't even need to be friends on PS5. In other words, that colleague of yours who only asks you to play when there is someone missing from the team can now participate without the formalities of a digital friendship. Practical, right?
The Technology Behind the Invitation
For those who like to show that they are up to date, there is also a QR code that you can generate. You know those codes that we never use, but think are super futuristic? So now you have a good reason to use it!
Oh, and don't think that's all. Sony also created a widget for Discord, so you can check if the session is still going on before joining. It's like peeking through a keyhole before entering the party, only less invasive.
But Wait, There's More!
In the coming months, they promise that you will also be able to share your profile on PlayStation Network on any social app. Great, right? So you can spread your fame (or your shame) gamer out there without much effort.
Let's play online!
So, if you were looking for an excuse not to get off the couch, Sony has given you one more. Now just wait for the update, prepare the snacks and ask yourself: will playing Baldur's Gate 3 Is it a good idea with strangers? Well, better than playing alone then… perhaps.
And remember, fun is guaranteed, but friendship, well, that may depend on your skill level. Good luck, and see you in the game (or the link, to be more exact)!
