Meghan Markle has an embarrassing moment at a charity event

Last week, Meghan and Harry attended actor Kevin Costner's charity event in California. When going on stage, the former actress goes through an embarrassing situation when she thinks she is being handed the microphone.

Meghan and Harry were invited to pay tribute to Kevin for the good work he has done with One805. The organization was created in 2018 to provide medical and financial assistance to first responders in California.

On the X network, the former Twitter, a video was leaked showing the moment in which the couple goes on stage to pay tribute to the actor. When they were announced and received with applause, the presenter walked towards Meghan, making it appear as if she was passing the microphone to the duchess.

The video shows Markle holding the device, but the presenter does not let go and, upon noticing this, the duchess releases the microphone and directs the woman where she should go.

According to the international press, after the embarrassing moment, the couple presented the tribute to Kevin Costner.

However, the moment did not go unnoticed and King Charles III's daughter-in-law became the target of internet users on the X network. “She’s all manic about the attention she thinks you’re giving her on the microphone,” wrote the internet user who shared the video. “Did she really think she was going to talk without having anything agreed?”commented another. “She was sure she was going to get the microphone HAHAHAHA”mocked another.

The couple's advisors have not commented on what happened so far.

Returning to the agenda

Kevin's event was the first on the couple's schedule after returning to the United States. The couple traveled to Germany for the closing of the Invictus Games, where Harry spoke “a platform for positive change”, he described.

The Duke and Duchess left before the end of the event and returned home this Sunday (24).
