Dexter King is the new senior vice president and global managing director of Tom Ford Beauty. King has been with Tom Ford Beauty for nine years, and prior to the promotion he served as senior vice president of global marketing. Tom Ford Beauty is a Tom Ford beauty brand that offers luxury cosmetics and perfumes, seeking individuality.

About Dexter King

Before joining Tom Ford, King worked in marketing and strategy roles at a number of companies including McKinsey & Company, Diageo and Moët Hennessy. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Virginia (USA) and an MBA from the Faqua School of Business, Duke University (USA). Working at Tom Ford Beauty for nine years, Dexter works alongside Guillaume Jesel, president and CEO of Tom Ford. Working together, both elevated Tom Ford Beauty's communication strategies, consecrating the brand's fragrances to the luxury category in the industry.

In an official statement, Jesel said that Dexter's experience was essential for the brand to reach the level it currently occupies. “His deep understanding of luxury, the importance of aspirational local relevance, and his command of strategic growth opportunities in the luxury sector make him well-suited to lead Tom Ford Beauty’s continued global push.”said Jesel.

In his new role, King will continue reporting and working closely with Jesel, and will lead the brand's growth strategy team. Still in the official statement, Dexter said that he intends to promote the beauty brand's positioning through innovation, amplifying individual beauty.

About Tom Ford

Tom Ford is a luxury men's and women's fashion house, and also offers accessories, eyewear, cosmetics and perfumes. It was founded in 2005 by Tom Ford, the brand's former creative director, stylist, screenwriter and film producer. In December 2022, the Estée Lauder company became the owner of Tom Ford and its intellectual property. The transaction was valued at US$2.8 billion. The brand recently launched its campaign for the summer 2024 collection.

The current creative director of the Tom Ford brand is Peter Hawkings, who worked alongside Tom Ford for 25 years. Before taking on the role, Peter was senior vice president of menswear. As creative director, Hawkings is now responsible for all of the brand's men's and women's fashion and accessories. Furthermore, he is also the main designer for the fashion and catwalk segment.
