With an injury to his left thigh, Hulk could miss Atlético-MG in the next round

The seventh round was not favorable for Atlético Mineiro. In addition to the draw at home against Bahia, striker Hulk complained of pain in his left leg after a play, and was replaced. In a statement, Galo's press office confirmed that the player has a thigh injury and is undergoing treatment at the club's Medical Department, which also did not define how long it will take for Hulk to return to the field.

Soon after the substitution, the player was assisted by members of the technical committee in the recovery procedure, with ice packs at the site of the pain. The following day, Hulk, Otávio and Rubens, who are also injured, attended Galo's CT for medical evaluation and treatment of injuries in the Medical Department. On Tuesday (03), the three players returned to continue physiotherapy and recovery exercises. The rest of the cast was off these two days and reappeared on Wednesday (4).

Hulk reassures fans and appears optimistic in video

Striker Hulk is one of the strong names in the squad, with nine goals and six assists in 22 games in the 2024 season. In a video published on his personal Instagram, the player showed that he intends to return to the pitch soon. “It's now 4pm (Tuesday, 4/6). I arrived here in CT at 9am and I'm leaving now. Total focus on recovery soon!”. Atlético Mineiro also wished support for the number 7. “We wish our superhero a good recovery!”says an excerpt from the club's official note.

Possible embezzlement in the next round is considered

Gabriel Milito runs the risk of not being able to count on Hulk in Atlético Mineiro's next match, on June 11, against Red Bull Bragantino, at Nabi Abi Chedid. The Medical Department is cautious and will not set a date for returning to the fields at this time. As a result, the attack remains undefined, as Eduardo Vargas will be available to the Chilean team. The options to form a pair with Paulinho could be Cadu or Alan Kardec.

The team occupies 10th place in the Brazilian Championship with six points won. There are two wins, four draws and no defeats until the seventh round.
