Women of Sand: Donato capsizes the boat and Da Lua doesn’t know how to swim

This Monday, July 3rd, in Globo’s “Mulheres de Areia”, Donato (Paulo Goulart) will sail and take Da Lua (Marcos Frota).

WHAT ELSE HAPPENS IN THIS MONDAY’S CHAPTER

Virgil condemns Marcos’ attitude. Andréa arrives and interrupts the discussion. Marcos warns her that they need to have a serious conversation. Arlete arrives by surprise at Virgílio’s house. Marcos tells his father that he is in love with a poor girl. Da Lua complains about Raquel to Floriano. Virgílio sends Duarte to investigate Ruth’s life. Floriano and Raquel argue over Vanderlei. Donato, Glorinha and Da Lua take a boat trip. Da Lua confesses that she doesn’t know how to swim and Donato capsizes the boat. Da Lua falls into the water and asks for help.

“Mulheres de Areia” was originally shown between February 1st and September 25th, 1993. The plot was written by Ivani Ribeiro and was directed by Carlos Magalhães, Ignácio Coqueiro and Wolf Maya.

Tuesday, 4th of July

Donato hides behind the boat while Da Lua screams for help. Upon learning that Da Lua is drowning, Ruth decides to help him. Virgílio asks Marcos not to break up with Andréa. Ruth manages to save Da Lua. Clarita invites Arlete to spend a few days at her house in Pontal. Santiago tells Virgílio that the mayor has banned Pontal beach. Arlete is delighted to see Clarita’s house on the beach. Glorinha talks to Raquel thinking she’s talking to Ruth. Raquel and Duarte approach Virgílio’s car.

Wednesday, July 5th

Virgílio tells Duarte to leave and tells Raquel that he needs to talk to her about business. Afterwards, he tells Raquel that Marcos can’t stay with Ruth and shows her a suitcase full of money. Marcos confesses to Ruth that he is in love with her. Andréa decides to go to Pontal to be close to Marcos, Raquel shows Vanderlei the money Virgílio gave her. Ruth teaches Da Lua how to swim. Raquel buys some things at Tonia’s store and tells her parents that she found the money on the beach. Raquel pretends to be Ruth and goes to meet Marcos.

Thursday, July 6th

Pretending to be Ruth, Raquel tells Marcos that, while he doesn’t break up with Andréa, it’s better for them to keep their relationship hidden. Virgílio invites Tônia to go for a walk with him, but she does not accept. Ruth is disappointed that Marcos does not show up for the meeting they had arranged. Alaor arrives in Pontal, looks for Ruth and ends up mistaking Raquel for his beloved. Afterwards, he finds Ruth and she asks him to leave her alone. Raquel wears Andréa’s swimsuit. She arrives at Pontal and realizes that her bathing suit has been used.

Friday, July 7th

Annoyed, Andréa argues with Marcos and demands that he tell her who used the bathing suit. Afterwards, she decides to leave town. Tônia tells Breno that they are taking down the beach signs. Malu is interested in meeting Ruth. Vanderlei suggests to Raquel to set up a business with the money Virgílio gave. Andréa returns home and tells Baby what happened in Pontal. Da Lua tells Raquel that she saw her with Marcos and says that she will tell Ruth. The two argue and Da Lua shows the note she left in the car.
