Former 007, Pierce Brosnan hits back at friends who offered his wife bariatric surgery

007 actor Pierce Brosnan has once again proven that he is the perfect husband for his beloved wife, journalist and director Keely Shaye Smith.

The artist, who has been married to Keely for almost 22 years, praised his wife after some of their close friends offered to help the journalist with weight loss surgery, according to reports in the Mirror.

The publication claims the Irish actor, 69, took to social media to hit back at nasty comments about his wife's body after a Facebook post about the couple went viral earlier this year.

In the now-deleted post, a Facebook user made offensive comments about how different Keely looked at that time compared to how she did when she married the actor in 2001.

One image in the post showed the couple posing on the beach when they were younger, thirty years ago, while the other photo, which was taken recently, showed the couple as they are today.

The Mirror further claims that after the post went viral, with endless cruel comments, Pierce allegedly hit back at the haterswhile criticizing the offer of bariatric surgery made by some friends, stating that “love every curve” of his wife's body in a public response after the images went viral.

“Friends have offered me surgeries to reduce her weight. But I love every curve of her body intensely.” The actor would have written in the now-deleted publication. “She is the most beautiful woman to me. In the past, I loved her for who she is, not just for her beauty, and now I love her even more because she is the mother of my children. And I am very proud of her, and I always try to be worthy of her love.” The actor would later have completed it.

Pierce Brosnan met journalist Keely Shaye Smith in 1994 and the two married in 2001. Since then, the couple has had two children: Paris (21) and Dylan (25).

Before meeting Keely, Pierce was married to actress Cassandra Harris, who died of cancer in 1991. With Cassandra, Pierce had Sean (38) who he and Keely raised along with his younger siblings.
