What a magical and unforgettable week we had in Gamescom Latam! This event, a true festival of novelties, nostalgia and pure fun, was an ode to lovers of entertainment in all its forms. With more than 25 thousand square meters of pure immersion, São Paulo Expo was transformed into an enchanted kingdom where technology and fun went hand in hand.

For five days, the event shone with gaming innovation: VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), Artificial Intelligence for NPCs, high-performance game streaming, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), next-generation graphics engines, cross-platform games, accessibility in games and, of course, the metaverse and social virtual reality. Every corner of the event was filled with technological wonders that would leave any wizard curious and any knight astonished.

Offline Gaming: A Break from the Digital Journey

Ah, board games! Amidst futuristic technology, the gamescom latam board games brought a nostalgic and cozy break for all of us. Curated by Offline Fun and the bar Ludus Luderiathe space offered more than 50 games for the public to enjoy. Monitors, true board game sommeliers, guided the adventurers through this analog journey.

Arcade Space: A Journey Through Time

Get ready for a trip back to the golden years of arcades with gamescom latam arcade! A space where the flashing lights of pinball machines and the sounds of classic arcade games brought a nostalgic smile to visitors’ faces. Jorge Oliveira, a ride-hailing driver, shared: “I grew up playing arcade games. Here, I have a chance to show my girls a little bit of what my fun used to be like.”

Indie Area: The Heart of Creativity

Kika Martini, game producer, highlighted the unique opportunities of the event: “We can see the public’s opinion and connect with the player. Here we can have contact with both the business area and the content creation area.” Rafael Santos (@gamedevtoolkit) added: “This year we have many areas at the event for indie games, full of opportunities. I say that games are the future, regardless of the area you are in, in a few years, everything will be games.”

Artists Passionate About Games

And what would a gaming event be without a touch of art? Artists' Alley was an absolute success, with artists like Larissa Rosa Braga (@lari.bragart) exhibiting her magical creations. “The area has a beautiful structure and the lighting really enhanced my art. I feel safe here and the public is very attentive,” said Larissa.
