Investigation reveals communication codes between pedophiles on social networks

Recently, Fantástico revealed the scheme of pedophiles who take photos and videos of children that their parents post on social media for food or criminal marketing. The collected material is used to distort, manipulate and discard.

To get content from children, they communicate using codes and save lives criminals, which are sometimes financed by the victim's own family, as discovered by the Fantástico team who infiltrated the criminal market for 4 months.

Codes used by pedophiles

One of the cases that occurred was with the influencer and father Jonas Carvalho, who started making videos about the routine of his children, Eloá and Davi Lucca, respectively, 3 years and 2 months old. He entered the digital world after becoming unemployed.

The father claims that he was told he saw several comments that worked as codes for pedophiles, which he only found out about later when followers warned him about their meanings.

The most commonly used code is “forgive me, little one”, which is actually a line from a villain in superhero movies. However, this form of communication between abusers serves to mark the content of children that attracts the most attention among them.

In addition, and others, there is also the code that refers to the influencer who was arrested for committing sexual crimes against minors. The expression is “I was wrong, it was Raulzito”.

Social media pronunciation

Regarding messaging companies, only the Signal platform did not comment. However, Telegram stated that this criminal content is moderated on its platform and prohibited as long as you are willing to remove the content when reported by users. In a statement, the company reported that, in June alone, more than 62 thousand channels were removed for sharing this material.

Meta, the company responsible for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, reports that it actively works to remove material that puts children at risk, in addition to stating that it uses technology and human review to identify and remove such content.

TikTok, one of the social networks that features the most videos of children, says that when identified, they are immediately removed. In addition, accounts and cases are reported to the appropriate authorities. However, TikTok said that the network's approach to abusive content and sexual exploitation is zero tolerance.
