One of the most important awards shows in the music scene, the 66th annual Grammy ceremony is scheduled to take place this Sunday (04), in Los Angeles. In total, there are 94 categories for artists to compete in. SZA leads the list with nine nominations, including “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year”. In addition to competing for awards, the “Kill Bill” singer is already confirmed to perform on the Grammy stage this year. Another novelty of this edition is the debut of well-known names in music on the event stage.

Billie Eilish

The 22-year-old singer and owner of “What Was I Made For?”, part of the soundtrack for the film that became a global hit, “Barbie”, will perform at the 2024 edition of the awards. Billie has seven Grammy Awards and is competing in the following categories this year: “Recording of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Best Pop Solo Performance”, “Best Song for an Audiovisual Work” and “Best Music Video”.

Billy Joel

American singer, songwriter and pianist, aged 74, performs for the first time at the awards, known for his hit “Piano Man, released in 1973. This Thursday (31), he released his first song since 2007. Titled “ Turn The Lights Back On”.

Dua Lipa

The British singer will perform at the Grammys and, like Billie, is competing in the “Song of the Year” category, with “Dance The Night”, also from the “Barbie” discography. The artist also competes in the “Best song for audiovisual work” category.

Joni Mitchell

The 80-year-old Canadian singer performs for the first time at the Grammy Awards — which surprised fans as the artist suffered an aneurysm that initially left her unable to speak. But in recent years she has made a gradual recovery and surprises the music world by being confirmed as one of the attractions at the awards.

Luke Combs

The American singer-songwriter was nominated in the “best country solo performance” category for his cover of Chapman’s timeless 1988 hit “Fast Car.”

Burna Boy

The 32-year-old Nigerian singer debuts not only on the awards stage, but also at the Grammy Awards after being nominated for “Best Melodic Rap Performance”.

SZA

The most nominated artist at the 2024 awards is also confirmed to perform on stage: SZA has so far received an impressive 24 nominations in other editions of the event, having only won in the partnership with Doja Cat, “Kiss me more”, in 2022.

Olivia Rodrigo

American singer, songwriter and actress who first rose to fame as a child actress on the Disney television shows Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In this edition, she competes in the categories “Album of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Recording of the Year”, “Best Pop Solo Performance”, “Best pop vocal album”, and “Best Rock Song”.

U2

Irish band that started on stage in 1976, O U2 already took it home 22 Grammysincluding two albums of the yearthe only group that has done this: “The Joshua Tree” (1987) and “How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb” (2005).

Travis Scott

American rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer. Nominated this year for “Best Rap Album” for “Utopia”, released in 2023.
