Ivete Sangalo arrives on Spotify for the first time, with the success of “Macetando”

This Saturday (10), the collaboration between Ivete Sangalo and Ludmilla achieved the highest position in the Spotify ranking, coming first in the most listened to songs in Brazil on the streaming platform. The track is part of Lud's newest album, “Numanice #3”.

Debuting in the position

At 51 years old, Ivete Sangalo is one of the most beloved and renowned artists in Brazilian entertainment, with songs that mark generations and having her name recognized by everyone. The person responsible for giving life to the tracks “Arerê”, “Sorte Grande”, “ Quando a Chuva Passar” and many others that have already been on the lips of Brazilians, has now arrived with “Macetando” in collaboration with Ludmilla, who every year has been acquiring increasingly successful and credible in the music industry, not only for the quality of their songs, but also for their versatility in moving through different musical genres.

With this partnership, Ivete, who is celebrating 30 years of career, reached the #1 position in the ranking of the most listened to songs on Spotify Brazil.

Overwhelming success of “Macetando”

The collaboration between Brazilian artists reached the public at the end of last year. It was sung for the first time at a concert by Ivete Sangalo held in December at the Maracanã stadium, located in Rio de Janeiro. On that occasion, Ivete called Ludmilla to the stage and at that moment the two performed the first televised performance of the song.

The success was instantaneous and from that moment on, the song never left the public's voices, being easily one of the most sung and played songs at this carnival. It was such a success that even Anitta sang the track alongside Ivete on two occasions, first in her show “Ensaios da Anitta” and then, more recently, at the opening of the Bahian carnival in Ivete Sangalo's electric trio.
