Meghan Markle just recreated her wedding dress

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the 2024 ESPY Awards (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) on Thursday, July 11. The Duke of Sussex accepted the Pat Tillman Award for Service and even paid a subtle tribute to his mother, Princess Diana, in his acceptance speech. While the duchess attended the event to offer support from behind the scenes, she completely stole the show. On the red carpet, Markle stunned in an elegant white gown that looked like the most iconic bride in fashion history: her own.

Just like their fairytale romance, Markle's two wedding dresses have gone down in history. Even if you don't follow the royals, you've probably seen photos from their 2018 wedding.

For the ceremony itself at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Markle wore an elegant, boat-neck Givenchy gown custom-made by Clare Waight Keller. Like many modern brides, she wore a second look for the reception at Frogmore House. Forgoing the long-sleeved look, she wore an ivory silk-crepe gown by Stella McCartney with a sophisticated halter neckline.

Six years later, Markle is still a big fan of the style. At the 2024 ESPYs in Los Angeles yesterday, the former Suits actress wore a nearly identical dress. Just like in 2018, this one also featured a halter neckline with a bit of ruching at the neck. The form-fitting gown also had a semi-mermaid silhouette and fell all the way to the floor.

Even their beauty looks were similar: barely there makeup and a bun. The only major difference between the two ensembles was their choice of footwear. She wore black heeled sandals to the ESPYs while, understandably, she opted for ivory pumps on her wedding day.
