Brasil Game Show Completes 15 Years

A Brazil Game Show (BGS) is completing 15 years of lots of history, gaming and epic moments. And to celebrate this special date, nothing better than remembering the best moments of this incredible journey that began back in 2009.

1. Millions of Gamers and A Maracanã Full of Passion

Since its inception, BGS has received more than 2.8 million visitors. This is more than the population of several Brazilian capitals! Imagine filling more than 35 Maracanãs with people crazy about video games. Well, that's the power of BGS!

2. Plenty of Space

With more than 789 thousand square meters of exhibition area over the years, BGS has occupied spaces larger than countries such as Bahrain and Singapore. Since 2012, São Paulo has been the home of this gaming giant, with Expo Center Norte being the main stage.

If you've been to BGS, you've certainly seen big names like Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Ubisoft, EA, and many other industry giants. There were more than 2,700 brands present, proving that Brazil has a respected gaming market.

4. Two Months of Pure Fun

Since its creation, BGS has already accumulated a total of 61 event days. That's enough time to do a marathon of all the seasons of Stranger Things and still have time to complete some games.

5. Games Stars

BGS has always brought big names from the industry to interact with fans. From directors to producers and actors, more than 100 international guests have already participated. And there was even Ralph Baer, ​​the father of video games, who participated remotely in the 2009 edition!

6. Games Before Release? We have!

BGS has always prioritized inclusion and diversity. Since 2012, more than 352 people with disabilities have been hired to work at the event, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the fair.

13. Solidarity in Action

With each edition, BGS promotes food collection. By donating 1kg of non-perishable food, visitors pay half price. Over the years, more than 547 tons of food were collected, helping thousands of people.

14. Games Time Tunnel

Marcelo Tavares, founder of BGS, owns one of the largest video game collections in Brazil. And many of these items have already been exhibited at the fair, creating a true journey through time through the generations of consoles.

15. Unforgettable Memories

The BGS Store, present since 2011, sells exclusive products that immortalize the moments lived at the fair. From t-shirts to accessories, more than 520 different products have already been created.

BGS 2024: The Big Party
