Ganso is outraged by Fluminense's stance against Grêmio

Yesterday, Tuesday (13), Fluminense lost to Grêmio in a comeback, and the result and the team's attitude did not please Paulo Henrique Ganso, midfielder for the Rio de Janeiro team. The game took place in Curitiba and was valid for the round of 16 of the Libertadores. The team from Rio de Janeiro lost and will now decide the return game at home on Tuesday (20) of next week.

Grêmio's comeback

Fluminense took the lead with a goal from Lima, 12 minutes into the second half. The Tricolor Gaúcho, despite having a player sent off, managed to turn the match around with two goals from Reinaldo. Rodrygo Ely was sent off after punching Ganso. The game ended 2-1 for Grêmio.

After the final whistle, Ganso seemed very upset with the team's attitude. The player did not like the team's decisions in the decisive moments of the game and said that they cannot repeat a performance like this: “First, we have to be a little more humble. When we attack, we have to look for the best positioned teammate, so we can choose the best play, the best decision-making. Our team is lacking this: when it comes to attacking, we have to improve this. Two plays, two fouls, practically unnecessary. We can't make this mistake in such an important game like this one.”

Ganso sees possibility of winning

Despite the disappointment, Ganso believes that the return game is open and if they do not repeat their poor performance, they can advance to the next stage: “Everything is open, of course. We are playing at home, they have the advantage of a draw. As I said, we just can't give up the result like we did today again.”

The return match between the two teams will take place on Tuesday, the 20th, at 7:00 pm Brasília time. The match will take place at Maracanã. Fluminense needs a victory by 2 goals if they want to advance directly, without penalty shootouts. For Grêmio, a victory or even a draw is enough for them to advance to the next stage.
