Lindsay Lohan signs deal with Netflix and will make two more films for the streaming service

Successful in the 2000s for films such as ''Freaky Friday'' and ''Mean Girls'', Lindsay Lohan is back in acting. Netflix announced that it has closed a new deal with the actress and she is set to star in two more original films for the platform, in addition to the Christmas movie ''Falling For Christmas'' already produced and scheduled to premiere later this year.

In the Christmas romantic comedy, Lindsay plays a spoiled hotel heiress who, after suffering a skiing accident, ends up with amnesia and finds herself under the care of an innkeeper and his daughter. The cast also includes names such as Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner and Olivia Perez.

In a statement made this Wednesday (01), the streaming revealed the news. ''The world fell in love with Lindsay Lohan when she played twins, and Netflix is ​​once again giving the world a double dose of Lindsay to love through a creative partnership that will see her star in two new films.'' The synopses of the upcoming films have not yet been released.

Lohan's last appearances were in 2013's “Sin Valley” and, more recently, 2019's “Among The Shadows.” Due to mental health issues and drug abuse, she saw the doors of Hollywood close to her. Lindsay tried to return to acting in the 2010s, but was unsuccessful. The contract with Netflix is ​​a major return for the actress.
