Luma Grothe stands out at Cannes

Another star takes the spotlight at Cannes Film Festival from 2023. Crafted in a sensual pink production, as if wearing lingerie with slits, Luma Grothea 27-year-old Brazilian model, caught the attention of photographers and onlookers.

Luma was one of the Brazilian names to parade in the red carpet from Cannes to premiere in “Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny”which took place last Thursday, the 18th.

With an angelic face, beautiful blue and almond-shaped eyes, model Luma Grothe was born in Brazil, but made her name in the United Kingdom, more specifically, London, where she learned a lot about the world of fashion.

Luma is one of the most requested names of the moment. She has worked in Brazil, Europe and even lived in Ericeira, where she shared a house with her now ex-boyfriend and model, Nick Youngquest. The model is the face of the brand Paco Rabanne since 2015, in the perfume campaign Olympia. That’s when she discovered that she was a powerful woman and very sure of herself.

But Luma’s initial dream was not to pursue a career on the catwalks. As a child, the model even considered being a scientist, dancer and rockstar. His dream was to be part of NASA. Luma confesses that she always followed her intuition and let herself go, until she got into modeling and became a feminist.

Luma says she wishes she could have been taught how to use her voice as a role model and not just be a pretty face. For her, it would also have been of great value to have been taught the power of thought and how to manifest through them.

Today she reveals that she sees feminist activism as her life goal. She says that she grew up among very intelligent women, but who didn’t have a voice, because men always stood out.

“In my opinion, the world should be a little more equitable and fair for women. We have a lot of power and a lot of resilience. If we have more equality in society, we will see more women in government and occupying important positions”, she points out, showing herself as a human being who cares about much more than herself.
