In an open and sincere conversation, Reynaldo Gianecchini shared his perceptions about fatherhood and appearance care, especially after a battle against cancer. At 51 years old, the actor takes on the role of a father for the first time in A Happy Family, which promises to thrill audiences in cinemas starting next Thursday, April 4th.

Fatherly adventure at the cinema
The film, directed by José Eduardo Belmonte and scripted by Raphael Montes, features Gianecchini as Vicente, the devoted husband of Grazi Massafera’s character. The plot develops into a dramatic thriller where the actor shows his innate ability with children, alternating between changing diapers for a newborn and taking care of nine-year-old twins.
This role gave Gianecchini the chance to experience fatherhood in an intense way, an aspect of his personal life that he has not yet explored.
Giane’s revelations
“It was a delight to exercise this side. I wanted to experience this fatherhood that I have never experienced in my life. That was one of the reasons that made me accept this project. Even though I’m a great uncle and love kids, I haven’t had the experience of fatherhood. I have a lot of passion for characters who live stories different from mine”, reveals the actor to Extra.
He also shares a touching behind-the-scenes moment: the ability to calm a crying baby, an instant that moved him deeply.
When it comes to vanity, Gianecchini expresses understandable caution. “I’m afraid of putting things on my face, because I had cancer,” he says, reflecting on the risks associated with cosmetic procedures. His experience with the disease makes him more selective about appearance care, preferring to embrace the natural changes that time brings.

Reflections on the future
Fatherhood in real life is still a possibility for Gianecchini, although he doesn’t see it as an emergency. “One day, who knows, if I have a partnership and want to have a child. This hypothesis exists, but it is not a concern for me.”
