Bridgerton actor causes a stir among Heartstopper fans with the possibility of a role

Actor and protagonist of the second season of the hit Netflix series, Bridgerton, Jonathan Bailey, caused a stir on social media, when he was announced as Jack Maddox, a writer who will cause a crisis in Nick and Charlie's relationship, in Heartstopper, on the same account, recently created on Instagram.

From Lord to… writer

Jonathan Bailey, 35 years old, is an English actor who emerged in the first season of the Netflix streaming series, Bridgerton, in 2020. In the following season of the same production, now in 2022, Bailey was the protagonist, becoming even more famous .

However, the English actor has already participated in other better-known productions, such as the series Crashing (with the popular Fleabag, by Phoebe Waller-Bridge), Jack Ryan and Companheiros de Viagem, among others.

Additionally, Jonathan will play Prince Fiyero Tigelaar in the highly anticipated Wicked. And, who knows, in Heartstopper 3, like Jack Maddox, a writer.

Advertising and confusion

Coming out of nowhere, an Instagram account caused a huge stir among fans of the Netflix series Heartstopper, which has two seasons, when it released, this Wednesday (13), photos of Jonathan Bailey, supposedly portrayed as writer Jack Maddox.

A third season of Heartstopper has been expected by fans since the end of recording was announced. However, no additional information, such as plot, date or new characters, has been released since then.

However, with the revelation coming from Instagram, fans of the series were excited. Jack Maddox, who will supposedly be played by Bailey, is a writer who Nick Spring has a huge crush on, the problem is that his boyfriend, Charlie Nelson, is jealous of him.

In line with fans' excitement, all images were deleted and the account is currently closed with no new publications. However, no one, whether the streaming platform, the author, Alice Oseman, or even the actor, Bailey, commented on the alleged leak.

If confirmed, the actor will join the cast of Heartstopper alongside: Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Tobie Donovan, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser and Darragh Hand.
