Pep Guardiola prioritizes Manchester City’s Premier League performance

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola spoke to the press this Friday (18), before the duel against Chelsea for the Premier League, which will take place this Sunday. In an interview, Guardiola stressed the importance of the championship.

“The Premier League is the most important competition because it lasts more than 10, 11 months. We are lucky to be at home with our people to win it”, he stated.

Currently, the Citizens dispute the Champions and the Premier League, in addition to the FA Cup, in which they will face Manchester United in the search for the cup, on the 3rd of June.

If Nottingham Forest beats Arsenal this Saturday (20), Guardiola’s team becomes champions even before playing the 37th round of the English Premier League. Although there is the possibility of celebrating the title in advance, the Spanish coach stated that he will not watch the Gunners’ match.

“In my opinion, I would like to think that we have to win to be champions.”he said.
