Striker Jô is arrested in Campinas for non-payment of child support

The arrest of the 37-year-old athlete occurred on Monday night (6), in the city of Campinas, where the player's team played a decisive match against the local club, Ponte Preta. The information was confirmed by Baep (Police Special Actions Battalion), of the Military Police. Jô was taken to the city's 10th DP.

The match took place at Moisés Lucarelli, the home team's stadium. The civil police officers then went to the location and waited for the Amazonas bus to arrive bringing the attacker, so that the warrant against him could be executed.

Two leaders of the team from the north of the country were with Jô at the police station. The agents soon left the DP after the athlete's lawyer arrived.
