SZA's performance is confirmed by organizers

This Monday (29), the Grammys announced SZA's performance at this year's edition. The artist is the most nominated for the award, totaling nine nominations. His notorious album SOS, released in December 2022, is up for Album of the Year, while the single “Kill Bill” could lead to Grammys for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Other songs from the album were nominated in pop and R&B categories . The 2024 edition of the Grammys takes place on February 4th.

In addition to SZA as a highlight, the complete list for the 67th edition of the Grammy Awards has been released. Other big names include Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Victoria Monét and Billie Eilish, all competing against SZA in the Record of the Year category.

In the Album of the Year category, the eight contestants include six artists already nominated in the Record of the Year category — SZA, Swift, Rodrigo, Boygenius, Cyrus and Batiste — in addition to albums by Lana Del Rey and Janelle Monae.

Taylor Swift has great potential to become the all-time leader in Album of the Year wins if Midnights expire in February. The singer is currently tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon, each with three album wins.

Artist SZA

Solána Imani Rowe, was born in 1989 in the state of Missouri, in the United States. In October 2012, Rowe released his debut mixtape titled See.SZA.Run. In April 2013, she released her second mixtape, called S. She signed with hip-hop record label Top Dawg Entertainment in 2013, and her extended play soon followed. In the same year, she co-wrote “Feeling Myself” with Nicki Mijaj and Beyonce. In 2016, she was highlighted internationally in the song “Consideration”, by Rihanna.

After this feat with the biggest artists in the world, SZA has been standing out and now with great recognition in international awards.
