Korean culture presents symbolism and traditions, as explained by designer Jin Hee Lee, who says that in Korea the color blue represents the birth of spring and life and this is one of the country's five traditional colors. The color of the hanbok belt represents the colors of the G20 logo, an event that will bring together the world's main leaders to discuss topics such as poverty, social inequality, sustainable development and type of global government.

Where will the exhibition be

The exhibition “Lights of Korea – Jinju Lantern Festival” is the largest exhibition of Korean art published in Brazil, MAC/Niterói – Museu de Arte Contemporânea will open its doors to visitors next Sunday (9). The museum was set up as a gallery with more than a thousand colorful lanterns, photos of the city of Jinju will be displayed showing the magnitude of the light festivals that take place there in the country.

It is curious to think that the tradition began in the 12th century, when lanterns were used as a military tactic during the Imjin war (1592-1598), they were used to carry messages out of fortresses and later the population began to release them into Rio Ningang to honor soldiers killed in action during the war.
