IZA rocks The Town with AFRODHIT release and special appearances

Singer IZA opened the show on the main stage of The Town this Saturday (10) and took the opportunity to officially launch her current project, “AFRODHIT”, her second studio album. In addition, during the performance, the artist mixed pop, funk and messages of empowerment.

AFRODHIT

Referencing her second studio album, “AFRODHIT”, released in August of this year, IZA appeared on the Skyline stage dressed as a true goddess singing “Never again”, one of her biggest bets for her current work.

Since launching the new project, IZA has been releasing some tracks from it, the fact is, however, that this Saturday's presentation served as the official debut of the album, as here IZA presented some of her new songs better, but without leaving aside great hits like “Talismã”, a song that was a feast for the couples who were present at Interlagos.

Memorable participations

Still focused on her current work, the composer from Rio de Janeiro invited artists who were part of “AFRODHIT” to sing with her. The first participation was funk singer MC Carol, who not only sang “Fé nas Malucas”, a single in which she participated, but also brought her hit “Meu Namorado é Mó Otário”, from 2012.

The second participation of the show came with rapper L7NNON, who not only sang his participation in the album, the song “Fui Foi”, but also showed that the duo has an absurd chemistry on stage.

Fire on the racists

There is no denying that this show was a true arsenal of partnerships, however, one of the highlights of the performance, which lasted about an hour, came with the participation of rapper Djonga.

On stage, both performed the track “Sintonia”, a romantic and sensual song in perfect measure. However, the highlight of this specific performance came at the end of the feat, when the Skyline screen displayed the words “Fire on the racists”, a kind of protest against one of the greatest historical wounds of our country.

Great hits

If the artist started her performance at the festival with hits from her new project, the end of the party was filled with great hits from the singer's career, including “Gueto”, “Dona de Mim”, “Ginga” and “Mó Paz”, making the audience unable to hold back and sing along.
