Gloria Groove and IZA open and close Virada Cultural 2023

One of the most traditional events in São Paulo is coming. Every year, the city government promotes the Cultural turna 100% free event on the city streets, whether in the center or on the outskirts, 24 hours of free music and culture.

The festival has been held since 2005, in partnership with the City Hall and the Municipal Department of Culture. The idea is for São Paulo to have 24 uninterrupted hours of music, theater plays and all kinds of cultural shows.

The event was inspired by the French festival White Night that takes place annually in Paris. The Cultural turn There are themed stages such as Avenida São João (National Rock), Praça da República (Samba), Largo do Arouche (Popular Style) and Estação Júlio Prestes (MPB). Renowned artists are invited and several changes are made to public transport and traffic, so that the population can enjoy it to the fullest.

The 2023 edition takes place next weekend, 27th and 28th, starting at 6pm on Saturday and running until 6pm on Sunday, some of the main attractions of the shows are Alceu Valença, BaianaSystem, Karol Conká, Anavitória, Tierry and Marina Sena, but the list is huge.

On Saturday, Glory Groove opens the event with a show at Anhangabau Valleyin downtown São Paulo. At 8:30 pm, in the same place, comes the band BaianaSystem. In Anhangabau will also have two other stages: Amazon Occupation It is St. John's Stage.

This arena will be the only one with 24 uninterrupted hours. On Sunday, at 1:30 pm, the Bahian Carlinhos Brown will play, and at 4 pm it will be the turn of Pernambuco native Alceu Valença, owner of the hit “Anunciação”, to sing his hits.

On Sunday at 6pm, the singer who closes the event, still in Vale do Anhangabaú, is IZA.

The party will not only take place downtown, there will also be stages in the Brazilandia, Itaquera, Butantã It is M'Boi Mirim. There is music for all tastes and in all places. The full schedule can be seen on the website City Hall of Sao Paulo.
