This week (July 28) the Brazilian Olympic Gymnastics girls put on a show at the women's team's debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and it wasn't just the jumps and pirouettes that caught the public's attention, the athletes' makeup was covered in gritter and rhinestones, lots of shine to match the medals that the gymnasts intend to bring back to Brazil. Check out the details:

Makeup to shine

Olympic gymnastics is one of the most prestigious sports in the world, attracting many admirers from many countries who cheer on the athletes who show off their strength, agility, flexibility, coordination and balance. The sport is also marked by the elaborate hair, makeup and looks that are always very well done and well produced.

Instead of highlighter, glitter was used to draw all attention to the excited eyes and smiles of the gymnasts who were beaming with the achievement of reaching a world competition.

Some rules are imposed by the American Gymnastics Committee, such as always showing up with your hair tied up and away from your face so as not to block your vision, avoiding certain nail polish colors, not wearing earrings or piercings, but none of these rules impede creativity when creating your makeup, and the girls from Brazil nailed it.

The look

The Brazilian team's look also did not go unnoticed, the athletes' leotards drew a lot of praise from the internet, such as: “This outfit is so beautiful”, “What a wonderful outfit” among other arguments praising the athletes' look.

The most curious thing about the outfit they wore is that it was designed by member Jade Barbosa, 33 years old, who has been part of the Olympic team for 17 years. Jase has already said that she was inspired by her father, who was the one who created her looks at the beginning of her career as a gymnast. This is not the first time that the Rio medalist has taken on the design of the pieces used in the games. Jade was also responsible for the team's outfits in other competitions, such as the 2022 and 2023 World Championships and the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
