Taylor Swift's album success surpasses Elvis Presley's record

The American singer breaks yet another record, and ends up beating one of the biggest rock stars of the 70s. Taylor Swift recently released a re-recording of her album “1989 (Taylor's Version)”released on October 27, 2023, reaching the top for the fifth time in recent weeks.

Another record in the music industry

With this achievement, the artist reached the first place on the Billboard 200, as a solo artist, spending the most time at the top of the charts. With a total of 13 albums, Taylor has reached 68 weeks in the ranking of best-selling albums in the United States, one more than Elvis, with 67 weeks and his ten albums.

In terms of solo artists and bands, the Beatles lead the ranking with a total of 132 weeks with their 19 albums.

Other achievements of the singer

Taylor was recently on her “The Eras Tour”, passing mainly through Brazil at the end of November last year. Forming a total of 151 shows performed in 2023. Breaking yet another record in her career, the artist reached the feat of “highest-grossing music tour of all time”, surpassing Elton John. With a revenue of US$ 1 billion dollars.

With the release of “1989 (Taylor's Version)”, they have registered a total of 98,000 units by the end of December 2023, with 61,000 sold as full albums.
