Madonna argues with follower on Instagram
Madonna had to stick with a follower on Instagram on Tuesday. The woman disagreed with a post from the singer about gun violence in the US.
In the message, Madonna wrote: “There have already been 130 shootings in the US, and we are only in April. This tragedy is all the more tragic because there is a solution. It is called gun legislation. Wake up America! History keeps repeating itself. ”
The singer lashed out at the follower, who is called Karen. That name has become especially symbolic online for a demanding woman and is often associated with racist behavior as well. Madonna ended her post with: “And of course your name is Karen.”

The follower claimed the Queen of Pop has no idea what’s going on in the real world. “I bet you have armed security to keep you and your family safe. But the common people are left unarmed. If you ban guns, criminals will always find them. And we innocent people are then victims. You live behind high walls with security. You don’t live in the real world. Criminals are not afraid of the police, the courts or the prison. But if we are an armed society, they are afraid of their victims. ”
Madonna made no bones about it in her answer. “B * tch, I don’t have any armed guards. Come see me and dare to tell me to my face that I don’t know what the real world looks like. You don’t know about my life. ” In her comment she also criticized the police, who are again discredited in the US after the death of a 20-year-old African-American man who, according to authorities, was accidentally shot by a police officer
