MC Guimê speaks out about million-dollar debt in court

Then he returned to talking about the million-dollar debt that even led to legal proceedings and was one of the most talked about topics at the end of 2023.

“The second thing is that I left a debt to I don’t know who, which guy paid, which guy resolved it… That doesn’t exist. It is a judicial process and the judge ruled that such people were involved. It wasn’t me who arrived and bought a cap, a car, a motorcycle and said ‘hold your own, baby’”, joked the singer.

Guimê also asked for the attacks to stop on social media. “Hey, we’re in 2024. Stop, breathe and calm down, right? Let’s stop distilling hate on our friends’ social networks”, he concluded.

The Controversy

It is worth remembering that the singer suffered a block in profits, image rights, songs and number of views, on digital and streaming platforms, up to the limit of a debt of R$416,800.

Lexa, who was married to Guimê at the time, also ended up suffering from this and it was reported that she was paying the singer’s debt, even after the end of the marriage. Lexa even filed a lawsuit alleging illegality in the blockade in her name, but the São Paulo Court of Justice denied the request at the time, as they had not shared assets, and both were responsible to each other’s creditors.

Another case involves the former couple’s R$3 million mansion in Alphaville, in Greater São Paulo. At the time, the debt included property expenses and the owners’ legal fees.
