Zyan Malik announces new album in an unreleased teaser and informs that he wrote it alone

This Wednesday (6), singer and songwriter Zayn Malik surprised the public by presenting his new album through an unprecedented teaser, published on his social networks, full of sensitivity and simplicity. Narrated by Zayn himself, the teaser presents a simpler and more genuine version of the artist, who opens up about the intentions and feelings that gave rise to the new project: “I think the intention behind this album is for the listener to gain more insight into me as a human being. My ambitions, my fears… and for them to connect with that”.

The teaser

In the teaser, which appears to be a homemade recording, we see Zayn next to his dog in a field in the late afternoon. During the course of teaserthe singer also opens up about his need to present something sincere: “And that's why it's so genuine, you know? It's just me writing this. I didn't want anyone else to come between me and the music, and the music and to the people who listen to it”.

Zayn also informs that he purposely wrote the album alone, emphasizing his desire to deliver something personal. At the end, the public can still hear an excerpt from one of the album's new songs, which, translated into Portuguese, means: “If I told you I love you, would you say it's crazy?”.

What to expect from the new album

According to Rolling Stone, the new album is co-produced by Dave Cobb, and was written over several years at Malik's home in rural Pennsylvania. The last single released by the singer was “Love Like This”, presented to the public in July 2023, and his latest album, “Nobody Is Listening” was released in 2021. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of a new project .

The artist, who became best known for being part of the boy band One Direction, has sought to distance himself from the image acquired by the band and is achieving success in this regard. Malik has dedicated himself to his solo career since 2016, seeking to be honest about his identity and presenting increasingly mature projects, the singer is solidifying his name in the music industry.
