Blue Origin, owned by Jeff Bezos, announced the next flight of the New Shepard rocket into space. This tourist trip takes place again almost two years after the incident with a rocket that failed mid-flight, making this a new beginning for the company. Jeff Bezos sends new tourists into space, this Sunday (19), two years after a failed flight in the Blue Origin program.
Six civilian crew
The crew that will be part of this flight is six people for the first time on a tourist trip to space. The launch of the New Shepard rocket will be from Texas, with a launch window that will open at 8:30 am local time, 10:30 am (Brasília time), announced by the company.
The crew of this flight are civilians, including Ed Dwight, a 90-year-old sculptor, known for becoming the first black astronaut candidate in the USA, despite not having been called for any mission in space. With this flight, Blue Origin will take 37 people into space, making it the company's seventh manned flight.
Blue Origin restart
This launch is also a resumption of Blue Origin's tourist flights, as in August 2022 an unmanned rocket failed in flight, and consequently led to an incident investigation under the supervision of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Internationally recognized from space, the journey goes further and 100 km above the earth will allow crew members to float in zero gravity before returning to Earth. It will be a launch broadcast live on the Blue Origin website.
Regarding the 2022 incident, the FAA overseeing the investigation found the cause to be a structural failure of a higher operating temperature engine nozzle. And that led to taking 21 corrective measures.
