Corinthians and the endless crisis: Understand the crisis in the São Paulo team and its consequences

On April 20, the Corinthians board, looking for a way to change the team’s atmosphere, since the team had not been playing good games, decided to dismiss coach Fernando Lázaro, after 14 games in charge of the team. To replace the coach, the name presented was that of Cuca, who had been champion for several clubs he had worked for, but also carried with him a conviction for rape in 1987. Since then, the Corinthian environment has become much more troubled than it already was.

In the last 30 days alone, four different coaches have been in charge of the Itaquera team, with a number of just one victory in eight games played. In addition to Lázaro and Cuca, Corinthians was also managed by Danilo, in the classic against Palmeiras. With the intention of softening the climate and finding the path to follow in the season, Vanderlei Luxemburgo was hired so that, through his vast experience, he put the team on track, but the coach still failed to win after five games.
