Dying Light 2 It has an open world full of zombies and the player is never safe.
To help you overcome this challenge, we've put together 7 valuable tips that you'd love to know before you start jumping across the rooftops of Vellador!
Missions during the day, loot at night
One of the biggest cheap Dying Light 2 It's how the gameplay dynamics change from night to day, literally. During the day the streets have fewer zombies and it is easy to run through the streets without so many dangers. During the night it is the exact opposite.
The streets are populated with monsters and any slip or noise could mean death.
The zombies that populate the streets have left the houses and underground, leaving them places that are easy to explore – this is where the best items and resources in the game are.
During the day, take the opportunity to speed up campaign missions and secondary challenge missions, such as Parkour challenges.
Release metro stations as soon as you find them
Jumping at high speed across the rooftops of Vellador is a lot of fun, but after a few dozen hours of play all you want is to have shortcuts to get to objectives faster.
The only way to use fast travel in the game is through subway stations!
It's not enough to just find them, you'll need to release them by turning the power back on. As soon as you find one, release it to have a cool place to travel quickly.
Buy as many recipes as possible
To detonate in combat you need to have weapons full of modifiers and various ingenious equipment, from grenades to healing. To get the best, buy everything you need in stores in the cities.
Modifiers, for example, are recipes that can be used as many times as you want – which is super important since all weapons break at some point. Arrows, grenades and healing can be created directly from the menu too, as long as you have those recipes. Don't forget to buy them!
3 skills to learn as quickly as possible
At the beginning of the journey it is difficult to decide which skills to choose first. It is possible to release them all, at great cost, during the journey, but the order in which you choose them can make the game much more enjoyable.
It's super important to choose the right one in the Parkour tab, as progress is a little slow. Our first tip is to choose the “Firm Grip” skill, which allows you to climb onto the platform you are holding on to even if your stamina runs out. With it, your falls will be significantly reduced and you will be able to climb more.
Another one from the Parkour tab is the “Far Jump”. With it you can use obstacles as a platform to jump far. It helps a lot in Parkour challenges at the beginning, as well as to escape chases at night.
In the Combat tab, our tip is to immediately improve “Perfect Dodge”. This way it will be possible to dodge at the right time, as you do with blocking, and slow down time to hit the enemy. It is very useful against strong blows, which cannot be blocked.
Combat humans reactively
Fighting zombies can be easier than humans, especially during the day. The bandits and gangs that take over the streets of Villedor know how to defend themselves, alternate attacks and even shoot from a distance.
Our tip is to play reactively! Most of the combat skills that Aiden learns during the journey are activated after a perfect parry or dodge, made at the last moment. By waiting for enemies to take the initiative, it is possible to take advantage of these advantages and kill more of them much faster than abusing repeated blows.
Side missions disappear without a trace (and can change the campaign)
One of Dying Light 2's flaws is that it doesn't always warn you when a side mission will disappear if you advance in the campaign. This happens a lot when characters important to the narrative are part of them. The worst thing is that some of them can have an impact on the fate of your campaign.
Be careful, if an important character is part of the quest, or the reward symbol for completing it is a forked path, run to do it before continuing to advance through the campaign.
Look for inhibitors and military boxes
All of the game's resources have their importance at some point in the campaign, but two in particular help throughout the journey and are extremely important for your character's progression.
Inhibitors are responsible for increasing Stamina and Life, but more than that, they also release abilities blocked in Aiden's menu. Finding them is not easy, as they are hidden in buildings, but the game indicates when you are close to one, even showing how many meters away.
Military boxes allow you to upgrade your unique accessories, such as the UV Flashlight and the Paraglider. These accessories are the most important in the game, as they allow you to deal with complex situations and are generally short-lived or difficult to use at level 1.
