EA SPORTS UFC 5 Explodes with UFC 300 Special Update

What's up, you punching and kicking fanatics? RumbleTech here to talk about good things – and no, I'm not selling pans. A EA SPORTS decided that the party celebrating the 30th anniversary of the UFC 300 it wasn't enough and he decided to add more fuel to that fire. We are talking about an update to the EA SPORTS UFC 5 which promises to make you want to punch the air with so much excitement. Ready? So hold this one.

A New Contender Appears: Mike Tyson

First, let me talk about the big guy, Mike Tyson, jumping right into the game – and for free, for those lucky enough to download it on the weekend of UFC 300, from April 10th to 15th. That's right, the heavyweight legend is appearing in the digital octagon at no additional cost. Who knew, huh?

Heroes of the Past Knocking on the Door

Now let's get down to business: Alter Egos. EA is bringing three legends from the past for you to control in the game, each with their own stories of glory:

• Robert Whittaker from UFC 225 – The guy faced Yoel Romero in a nail-biting rematch and came out on top. “The Reaper” is not here to joke.
• Max Holloway of UFC 231 – “Blessed” gave a boxing lesson to Brian Ortega who didn’t even need the final bell to emerge victorious. The definition of domination.
• Chris Weidman from UFC 187 – The man who put Anderson Silva to sleep and even went over Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort. “The All-American” is the embodiment of anyone’s nightmare at middleweight.

Challenges and More Challenges

And not to say that I didn't mention the flowers, we also have the UFC 300 Fight Week Challenges. Complete these missions to unlock cool rewards, including the Alter Egos of Chris Weidman and “Suga” Sean O'Malley from UFC 299. It's your chance to show that you know more about MMA than dieting.

More Fighters? Take it!

Last but not least: the expansion of the cast. EA announced that it is bringing more than 30 fighters to the game between April and June. Yes, my friends, it seems like they really want us to feel what it's like to be inside the Octagon – without actually taking the punches, of course.
