Florianópolis airport reopens after plane incident and surprises with speed of recovery

O Florianopolis International Airport had been closed on Wednesday (12), when the Airbus A321 aircraft (PT-MXM) skidded on the runway at the time of landing, which caused damage to the site. With the plane incident LATAM, which left Guarulhos for Florianópolis, runway 14/32 had to be closed since the previous day at 9:20 am. Only at 19:15, the aircraft with the Recovery Kit – set of large aircraft removal tools – has arrived for the rescue. The process concluded this Thursday at 9 am.

“Zurich Airport Brasil, the Florianópolis airport concessionaire, informs that the airport is open and operational. In addition, the airline reiterated that the facts related to the incident will be officially investigated by the competent authorities and that the company follows all the necessary technical and operational measures to carry out an operation without risk to all.
