Gil do Vigor teaches economics at a school in the Rio de Janeiro complex

This Thursday (27), economist and former BBB Gil do Vigor, visited a school in the slum complex of Rio de Janeiro. The visit even included an economics and mathematics class for the students.

Additionally, Gil met René Silva and Raull Santiago, the founders of Voz das Comunidades, an independent community newspaper in the Rio de Janeiro favela. Totally ”invigorated”, Gil was thrilled after the experience, as he fought hard to be where he is today.

Gil’s trip to the United States

After the BBB21, the brother landed in the United States in August to take a big step towards the beginning of his dream: a doctorate in Economics. On the day of his disembarkation, he then wrote in the caption: ”(…) I invested a lot of time, sweat and effort to get here. So many feelings, so many emotions, so many uncertainties… Today is the beginning of a new journey, a new cycle”

Currently living in a mansion, Gil studies at the University of California, Davis. According to the website CARAS, Gil’s house has no less than 380 square meters, also with a golf course that is close to it.

After showing his home on the program ‘Mais Você’, by Ana Maria Braga, he was happy with the place where he lives, even comparing it to the sky: ”Field of millions. Who knew I would live in a place with a golf course. Look at this bush, look at perfection. Doesn’t it feel like I’m in heaven? I deserve to live in luxury, in rejoicing. Look at this place I live! It’s very chic..”

Still during the program, Gil said that there was no concern, because inside the mansion he can count on an environment to focus on his studies, in addition to the green area that allows his deeper connection with nature. However, the economist confessed that he was still coming to terms with not having people at his door.

Meeting with EX-BBBS

After the BBB final, which took place on the 25th, Gil met the participants of the BBB23 edition. He was alongside the great edition champion, Amanda, and also Ricardo, Sarah, Aline Wirley, Marvilla, Paula, Marília and Domitila.
