In the first game after the tragedy, Inter lost to Belgrano at Arena Barueri

On Tuesday night (28), Internacional hosted Belgrano (ARG), at Arena Barueri, and lost after conceding two goals at the end of the first half. The match marked the return of the teams from Rio Grande do Sul after the disaster that the floods have caused in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The Colorados' last match was on April 28, in a 1-1 draw against Atletico Goianiense, in the 4th round of the Brazilian championship.

Internacional and Belgrano played a well-balanced match without any clear chances for either side, the Colorados had more possession of the ball during the 90 minutes, but this was not reflected in scoring opportunities, so much so that in the 38th minute, in the first clear chance, the Gauchos opened the scoring, Wesley received it on the left wing and crossed low for Borré to open the scoring. Everything indicated that Internacional would end the first half with victory, but Renê played the wrong way in the 44th minute, Chavarria took advantage of the mistake, found Reyna free inside the area and finished, Robert Renan managed to save, but afterwards, she was free to Chavarria shoot hard and tie the game. Three minutes later, the number 19 receives a cross and goes up alone to score his second of the match.

In the second half, the Gauchos struggled to create opportunities, the best of which was a free kick from Alan Patrick, which passed close to Losada's right post. At the end of the match, Alário scored a header that put Belgrano's goal in danger. The Argentines even had a penalty canceled by VAR.

Defeat complicates Inter's situation

With the victory, Belgrano secured first place, with two games in hand, Inter is in 3rd place and needs to make up a difference of 3 points, and a difference of 2 goals against Delfin, which ends his participation against the Gauchos.

In the next round, Colorado will go to Bolivia to face Real Tomayapo and then receive the Delfinat Alfredo Jaconi.
