Louis Vuitton develops bespoke trunks for Paris 2024 Olympic medals

Last Wednesday (27), images of custom-made trunks for transporting Olympic medals and Paris Olympic and Paralympic torches, produced by the luxury brand Louis Vuitton, were seen. The LVMH brand, owner of Louis Vuitton, will be one of the major sponsors of the games this year and it is estimated that the conglomerate signed an agreement worth 150 million euros, around R$800 million, to sponsor the event.

The chest that will carry these pieces is a piece of furniture with dozens of drawers, each with space for three medals. Rising to the position of protector of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic symbols, the luxury brand revealed among the pieces, details and characteristics of the medals, which were named: Trunks Medal and Torch Trunks, both the result of a perfect mix between tradition and modernity, prestige and functionality.

Considered true embodiments of luxury and functionality, the Malles Médailles – another model of medals – feature Louis Vuitton's iconic hologram design, in addition to being a piece covered in black leather, with drawers that house Chaumet brand decorations, which were engraved like the jewels. of victory and with the signature Paris 2024.

In addition to the sponsorship, it was also revealed that among the group's brands, the luxury jewelry company on Place Vendôme Chaumet designed and produced the gold, silver and bronze medals that will be awarded to the winners of the Games.
The medals, in addition to having a base of precious metals, have in their center an authentic piece of iron from the Eiffel Tower, which was collected during the renovation of the monument.

Other brands that will supply products to the event will be the menswear brand Berluti, which designed uniforms for the French teams. According to ntoine Arnault, director of Image and Environment at LVMH in a note to the French press: “Following the inauguration of the Olympic and Paralympic medals designed by Maison Chaumet, LVMH once again fully expresses its role as a premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as 'Artisan of all Victories', this time with Louis Vuitton.”
