Last Sunday (21) the third round of the Brazilian Championship took place between Palmeiras and Flamengo. It was a very competitive and difficult game for the two considered the best teams in Brazil today. What was supposed to be a spectacle ended up being an unpleasant situation for coach Tite, who was the target of spit from the Palmeiras fans.
The action
In an interview given by coach Tite, he claims to have been spat on, and claimed complete embarrassment when he had to clean himself up and asked for a legal response from the rival team, incompatible with the values of the current management, which values respect for its opponents so much. “My activity as a coach, I know is quite exposed and I have to put up with all the insults that come from outside. And it's not from Palmeiras fans. It belongs to some people who may not be in a position to know that there are a lot of children to educate. Offenses are part of the game, but spitting is very ugly. Having to clean my head and my clothes is ugly. I was here at Palmeiras and it's a stage that I'm very proud of. Our work saved Palmeiras from relegation. I have this engraved in my memory. I respect the steps. People think that anything goes in football. It's not like this.”. He said after suffering disrespect from fans.

What was decided
The director of the Palmeiras football team, Anderson Barros, contacted Flamengo's director, Bruno Spindel, this Monday, to apologize for the spitting the coach suffered at the start of the game at the Allianz Parque stadium. The Palmeiras team coach continues to search for images from Allianz Parque's security cameras to identify the offender and promises to expel the fan from the membership if he is a member of the program. Verdão also announced that they will contact Tite this Monday night (22), as soon as the Palmeiras delegation arrives in Quito, Ecuador, where they will face Independente del Valle, in the Libertadores, next Wednesday, at 9:30 pm (Brasilia time).
