Presented at Vitória, Carpini talks about São Paulo: “I matured in…”

This Thursday, 16th, Thiago Carpini disembarked in Salvador in the morning and was promptly introduced as the new coach of the Victory. Just under a month after his dismissal from São Paulothe young coach will inherit the position of Leo Condé. Furthermore, the coach was very clear about Leão da Barra's objective, which is to remain in Series A of the Brasileirão. “I don’t like selling dreams, I like working with reality. We need to work on our permanence and then dream of bigger things, the work and commitment for this will not be lacking”he stated.

As much as he understands the fans' dreams and shares some feelings, the commander has in mind that Vitória needs to be focused on recovering the points they lose in these first rounds of the Brasileirão. “A recovery campaign, we are fully aware of that”he explained.

Finally, Carpini spoke about how he deals with pressure, as he went through a very difficult job at São Paulo and will have to get used to the pressure at Leão da Ilha. “I have been living football in this new role for five years, but my life is in football. I'm used to it. We hope that these moments don’t happen, but it’s difficult,” finished.
