Theft on set The Crown: brought $ 200,000 worth of stuff,

A number of thieves have taken a large number of items on the set of The Crown in Yorkshire, England. It concerns more than 350 objects with a combined value of more than 200,000 dollars (almost 180,000 euros), Variety reports .

These include a replica of a Fabergé egg (Fabergé eggs are very precious jewels made around the end of the nineteenth century), a clock, a sideboard, crystal glasses and nineteen candlesticks.

The equipment was used for the filming of the fifth season of The Crown . They were displayed in a parking lot near the set and were stolen there.

The recordings can continue despite the theft. The Yorkshire Police are investigating and trying to recover the stolen items. Alternative set pieces will be used for the set of the popular Netflix series.

The fifth season of The Crown will be released in November 2022. In the next series of episodes, which will be the penultimate season of the popular series about the British royal house, the marriage troubles of Prince Charles and Princess Diana will be discussed.
